 undergo radiation treatment to apply either a calendula ointment or a 
commonly used medicine, trolamine, twice daily. The calendula group 
exhibited less dermatitis from the radiation and also had fewer interruptions to their treatment.

the plant in petroleum jelly, strain, and cool for use on the skin.

anthocyanosides to prevent the growth of blood vessels in the tissue 
surrounding a solid tumor. The blood vessels are, in part, what allow

He added, the advantage of this system is that this toxin can be engineered. This will allow researchers to find other toxins that has not been found in the nature from this engineering. With that, researcher will able to identify potential toxin variances that will not harm neural system.<br />

In the study that has been published in Current Biology journal, the researchers analyzed more than 100 sipder venoms from different species of tarantulas. They tested the venom into one of human pain channel called TRPA1. This channel located on the surface of the nerve cell that sense pain, this channel is associated with inflammation and nerve pain.<br />
<br />
The researchers found this tarantula toxin, in particular, that blocked this pain channel but did not affect any other channels on the surface of nerve cells. This means, the venom is potentially to become an new analgesic to relief pain. The North Yungas Road, also known as The Death Road, is a 61 to 69 km road leading from La Paz to Coroico (Bolivia's capital, to the Amazon region) in the Yungas region of Bolivia. It is legendary for its extreme danger: in 1995 the Inter-American Development Bank christened it as the "world's most dangerous road. " One estimate is that 200-300 travelers were killed yearly along the road. The road includes crosses marking many of the spots where such vehicles have fallen.<br />

At the end of 2006, after 20 years of construction, a new road (a by-pass) from La Paz to Coroico was opened to public. This new route features modern construction (bridges, drainage, etc.), multiple lanes, pavement, guardrails and many other elements that make it considerably safer than the original route. As a result, the original North Yungas Road is currently much less used by traffic, although an increasing number of adventure travelers bike it for the thrills.<br />

The road in Taihang mountains was built by local villagers: it took five years to finish the 1,200 metre long tunnel which is about 5 meters high and 4 meters wide. Some of the villagers died in accidents during construction; undaunted, the others continued. On May 1, 1977, the tunnel was opened to traffic. The Russian Federal Highway connects Moscow to Yakutsk, where the coldest temperature ever recorded outside Antarctica was recorded. Yakutsk is also the largest city built on continuous permafrost. Most houses are built on concrete piles because of the frozen ground.<br />

The James Dalton Highway is a 414-mile gravel road. It heads straight north from the Livengood turnoff of the Elliott Highway, through arctic tundra to the farthest north reaches of Alaska. Alyeska built the 360-mile haul road, now known as the Dalton Highway, from the Yukon River to Prudhoe Bay, for $150 million to supply the oil facilities on the North Slope. The pipeline bridge across the 1,875 mile Yukon River is the only span across that river in Alaska.<br />

Trollstigen (The Troll Ladder) is a mountain road in Rauma, Norway, part of Norwegian National Road 63 connecting Åndalsnes in Rauma and Valldal in Norddal. A popular tourist attraction due to its steep incline of 9% and eleven hairpin bends up a steep mountain side, the road up is narrow with many sharp bends, and although it has been widened in recent years, vehicles over 12.4 meters long are prohibited from driving the road. yerba maté and other beverages and to improve the taste of herbal 
medicines. They also employed the herb medicinally as a tonic for the 
heart, to help lower blood pressure, to relieve heartburn and kidney 
ailments, and to dull cravings for sweets.</div>

Spanish explorers noted how indigenous tribes used 
stevia, and by the 1800s, European settlers in Paraguay, Brazil, and 
Argentina were also consuming the herb, primarily as a sweetener for 
tea. In 1899 Swiss botanist Moisés Bertoni, then director of an 
agriculture college in Asunción, Paraguay, published the first 
description of the plant. He named it <em>S. rebaudiana</em> to honor Paraguayan chemist Ovidio Rebaudi, who conducted the first analysis of stevia’s chemical components. The genus name, <em>Stevia</em>, honors Peter James Esteve, a 16th-century Spanish professor of botany. Stevia is still called <em>estévia</em> in most Spanish-speaking countries.</div>

Stevia could have a brilliant future. A powerful 
sweetener with no calories, stevia could be a dietary phenomenon, 
especially for people watching calories and carbs. If
 this noncaloric sweetener should take the place of high-glycemic white 
sugar, the quality of carbohydrates in the diet would improve—with 
benefits for teeth, blood sugar, and digestion. Further, stevia may 
directly affect the hormones and mechanisms involved with elevated blood
 sugar in diabetics, thus helping to lower sugar levels and to protect 
against the effects of high sugar levels.</div>

Most of the benefits of stevia come from a compound 
called stevioside, which occurs primarily in the leaves, accounting for 4
 to 20 percent of the weight of the dry leaves. A compound similar in 
structure to stevioside and thought to have some physiological effects 
is rebaudioside A. Some animal studies show that stevia does not affect 
glucose absorption, though it may promote insulin release from the 
pancreas, increase sensitivity to insulin throughout the body, and slow 
glucose production in the liver. In humans, one study involved 12 people
 with type 2 diabetes. Researchers examined the use of 1 g of an extract
 (consisting of 91 percent stevioside and 4 percent rebaudioside A) or 
placebo with a meal. After the meal, those receiving the stevia extract 
had a lower glucose level than the placebo group did, possibly as a 
result of increased insulin secretion (which brings down blood sugar).</div>

The blood pressure–lowering effects of stevioside and 
rebaudioside A also have been studied, and results have been mixed. Some
 clinical trials demonstrated a decrease in both systolic and diastolic 
blood pressure with these compounds, while other trials contradicted 
these results. This effect needs further study.</div>

<strong>How to Use</strong></h2>

<em>Powder:</em> Stevia leaf, in powder form, can 
simply be used as a sugar substitute in various ways, such as sprinkling
 as a sweetener on food, in hot beverages, or in most recipes.</div>

<em>Liquid extract:</em> Glycerin extracts are available, often standardized to the primary component of stevia leaf, stevioside. Several drops of these extracts can be added to food as a sweetener.</div>

The safety of the chemical compound stevioside and 
of whole stevia leaf has been evaluated extensively in laboratory tests 
looking at possible toxic, genetic, or cancer-causing effects. Both have
 been determined to be safe when used as a sweetener. Care should be 
taken when stevia is used in combination with medications that also 
lower blood sugar. Uncommonly, stevia can cause stomach upset.</div>

This will happen especially when they felt that their owners are taking consideration or attention to other dog.<br /><br />Investigators or scientists studied the behavior of 36 dogs and found that almost all of them got jealous of their owners' desire, and reacted on their jealousy by snapping and pushing at their owners or their main "rival," which in the research was actually a stuffed dog that wagged its tail, whined and barked.<br /><br />Close to 80 percent of the dogs in this research pushed or touched the owners when the owners did interaction with a stuffed dog, and 25 percent of the dogs snapped at "another dog."<br /><br />Most of the dogs seemed to receive the fact that the stuffed dog was an actual rival, as they sniffed its rear end at the beginning and after the experiment.<br />"Our study suggests not only that dogs do engage in what appear to be jealous behaviors but also that they were seeking to break up the connection between the owner and a seeming rival," that’s what being said by study author Christine Harris, a professor of psychology at UC San Diego. "We can't really speak to the dogs' subjective experiences, of course, but it looks as though they were motivated to protect an important social relationship."<br /><br />In this experiment that published at July 23rd 2014 in the journal PLOS ONE, the researchers used a trial that is usually used for research on human babies at the age of 6 months old. The investigators worked with the dogs in the pets' own places and recorded the owners ignoring the dogs by diverting their observation either to a jack-o-lantern pail or a stuffed, animated animal. The owners were directed to treat both items as though they were actual dogs by petting them and talking to the dogs. In the third settings, the dog owners read a pop-up book that played music.<br /><br />And to or surprise that most of the dogs appeared to be jealous of the stuffed animated dogs. A smaller percentage, 42 percent, showed a jealous reaction to their owners reacting with the pail, and 22 percent reacted to their reading books.<br /><br />"Many people have assumed that jealousy is a social construction of human beings - or that it's an emotion specifically tied to sexual and romantic relationships," Harris said. "Our results challenge these ideas, showing that animals besides ourselves display strong distress whenever a rival usurps a loved one's affection."<br />

the cotton sector in order to make sure its optimum profitability; the sector gives
a source of profit for one-third of the community. To backup growth in Benin
and lower poverty issue, there are also big stakes in growing the private
sector, which is commonly dominated by the unofficial sector. In this respect,
in supplement to ongoing efforts to create the business climate excellent and
facilitate access to funding, public-private sector communication should be
improved and investor confidence supported by implementing the recommendations
of the discussion on the growth of the private sector held in October 2012.</div>

the country’s opportunity, specially agricultural, to the full, and its growth
is important for Benin’s integration into global value chains (GVCs). Although

Africa; the cashew-nut, maize, rice and pineapple subsectors; tourism, with the
growth of tourist regions based on public-private partnerships (PPPs); and
transport, with the creation of a multi-modal hub to maximize the country’s
position as a trade gate (modernization of the port of Cotonou with dry harbors,
construction of the Glo-Djigbe airport, Cotonou-Niamey railway).</div>
